Canadian Special Forces Heroes on Frontlines: Operation Enduring Freedom Documents and Wikileaks

A LONG-RUNNING TERROR WAR

The American special forces have been on the front lines of a terror war in Afghanistan for the longest time: "Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise:

BAITING THE RUSSIANS, RAMPING UP SERIOUS WAR

Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention." (Zbigniew Brzezinski, How Jimmy Carter and I Started the Mujahideen, Counterpunch)

WHEN AMERICAN "HELP" COMES

The "aid" got a little less secret in October 2001, when America and its helpers launched their official invasion.

THE CREAM OF THE CROP

Their special forces troops moved around the country doing their thing. Units with names like Task Force 373. Oh, what elite soldiers!!!!

OUTFITTED WITH SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION

"One of the incidents reported in the leaked documents relates to an attempt to target Qarl Ur-Rahman, a Taliban commander, near Jalalabad.

SO SECRET -- THEY MOVE UNDER COVER OF DARKNESS

The Guardian reported: "As they approached the target in the darkness, somebody shone a torch on them.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

"A firefight developed, and the taskforce called in an AC-130 gunship, which strafed the area with cannon fire: "The original mission was aborted and TF 373 broke contact and returned to base. Follow-up Report: 7 x ANP KIA, 4 x WIA."

MURDERED THEIR HELPERS

"In plain language: they discovered that the people they had been shooting in the dark were Afghan police officers, seven of whom were now dead and four wounded."" (Andy Bloxham, Afghan war logs: the secret special forces hit squads hunting Taliban leaders, Telegraph, 26 Jul 2010)

You'll be thinking: That was pretty mean spirited of the coalition special forces.

A PACK OF SERIAL KILLERS

But it was more than mean: "Canadian military officer exposed as serial killer". (Charmaine Noronha, Canadian military officer exposed as serial killer, AP, 18 Oct 2010)

There's been a lot of this exposing going on lately.

OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF ACCURACY

And all of these crimes being exposed actually happened?

We have some official confirmation: "The Pentagon on Monday asked media organizations not to publish any classified war files released by the WikiLeaks Web site, as the U.S. braces for the potential disclosure of hundreds of thousands of

"SECRET" = "CRIMINAL"

secret Iraq war documents." (Anne Flaherty, Pentagon asks media not to publish war leaks, AP, 18 Oct 2010)

Classified is a word the American government uses to describe criminal undertakings. Whether documents, units or operations -- if its classified, its dirty.

THE SERIAL KILLERS HAD IT ALL CLASSIFIED

Which brings us back to the start of all this destruction in Afghanistan: "But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul." (Zbigniew Brzezinski, How Jimmy Carter and I Started the Mujahideen, Counterpunch)

BUT WITH THE INTERNET, CLASSIFIED MEANS EXPOSED

It used to be that the boys could pretend that their secrets were closely guarded. But that's all ancient history now.

Consider this revealing report:

BROUGHT AN INNOCENT MAN IN FOR TORTURE

"Meanwhile, NATO forces said a detainee captured in an operation in the south

DIED OF INJURIES INFLICTED BY ZEALOUS INTERROGATORS

was found dead in his holding cell Sunday. NATO said the man was being held in Kandahar province

THEY BEAT HIM SEVERELY

after being detained a day earlier, and

COVER UP IS UNDERWAY

the alliance is investigating the circumstances of his death." (Katherine Houreld, NATO claims it is choking off insurgents' supplies, AP, 18 Oct 2010)

Top that off with some tender personal moments in the life of a Canadian special forces trooper:

"New Years celebration:

Williams rung in the new year of 2009 by another home invasion with his now-familiar perversion and labeling his trophies "HNY" for happy new year.

He is seen in photos completely naked in the house, holding the make-up brush from a 15 year girl to his erect penis, which he appears to have left behind; "to be used again" said the prosecutor.

AND THE AFGHAN PEOPLE ASK THEMSELVES:

When will it end?

Each incident seems more perverse from the last, to the point where it gets difficult to describe in a public forum.

WELCOME TO THE ELITE WORLD OF CANADIAN SPECIAL FORCES

Finding a pair of pink and green striped panties in the bedroom of a 15-year-old girl with apparent blood stains, sends him into a frenzy.
He takes 70 photos of himself smelling, wearing and licking the panties.
12 more of him soiling them." (Live coverage: The trial of Col. Russell Williams LIVE, National Post, October 2010)

And now you know:

1) what "classified" information means;

2) how dangerous the Operation Enduring Freedom "holding cells" are;

3) what elite special forces soldiers are really like; and

4) why "The Pentagon on Monday asked media organizations not to publish any classified war files released by the WikiLeaks Web site". (Anne Flaherty, Pentagon asks media not to publish war leaks, AP, 18 Oct 2010)
